confirms me that you are not following/understanding the guide…
That’s an interrogator log, nothing to do with upgrading… no wonder the car is telling you its not finding any upgrade package… And the first quote is also wrong, the log we are asking is the one Syn3updater generates once you create an upgrade USB, nothing to do with Sync3.
So:
configure syn3updater as currently having any 3.0.xxxx
create a new usb with whatever desired version you want
share that log for that USB creation for us to double check.
Good morning,
Thank you for this information.
I don’t understand the guide.
I have a very important question.
When I run Sync3 updater on the PC, does it need to be connected via USB to the car’s Synce?
Yes, we prepare the key at home and in this case Sync3 updater does not know the current version?
Good day
Good morning,
I have reread it carefully and am trying to follow the process carefully.
Here is the log file (but before installation in the car).
I guess what is interesting for you is the file after installation in the car because it indicates the errors.
I’m going to wait to drive for at least an hour to start the installation because I don’t think it can be done if the engine isn’t running. log.txt (5.2 KB)
So have you created a fresh dowload of the latest version but not yet tried it in the car?
And yes, to answer your questions, the engine needs to be running for the car upload but the sync unit in the car does not have to be connected by USB to the computer at any time.
If it begins the upload ok just remember not to remove the flash drive early if you get a message to that effect and just allow it to reboot and complete the upload.
Also ensure that you do a master reset after.
If your unit does not have NAV, that’s a good log.
Go ahead and plug it in.
The only thing I’ve to say is that the device that you are using seems generic.
Should the process fail, you may need to get a good USB pendrive from a recognized brand, like Sandisk.
Good morning,
The installation worked well
Thank you all
I don’t have a card but during the installation process I wasn’t offered one
I used to have some.
This isn’t too bad because I’m using Android
Good evening
So your sync has Nav?
It would have been offered at the start of the Syn3Updater screen top right but you obviously did not enable it as your log file says ‘false’ for Nav.
You can do another update selecting maps only with Syn3Updater if you wish but be sure to enable ‘nav’ at the top.
Good morning,
Yes indeed. I’m going to do this.
For the installation, it is necessary to allow a travel time or can it be interrupted and resumed?
How long does this last?
Good day
