Error installing Sync 3.4

Hi guys,

I have a Ford which I have purchased not long ago and the Sync felt very slow, it is/was version 2.3.17109 and does not have Sat Nav. First time Ford owner and I have been trying to update the Sync to 3.4 with Sat Nav, hoping I can get a more smoother Sync with Sat Nav so I don’t have to use my phone.

I have tried 3 times to install via a USB and keep getting the message below, i assume this is an error with a particular file. I am currently in the process of creating the USB again and will try to install again.

“Error in 1U5T-14G421-BEL_1723601194000.TAR.GZ :”

Currently though, my screen is stuck on the insert USB screen to update the Sync. If the installation does not work is it possible to go back to the version I was using? If so, how do i go about doing that?

I cannot provide a log file for the installations I have tried and I deleted all the content of the USB and currently downloading again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

you can’t put maps on a non nav, you don’t have enough storage space

Do I need a new unit for the sat nav or can i upgrade the storage?

Is that the reason for my error? Running out of storage during installation?
