EU Maps to US Car (3.4 Sync, F9/F10 Maps)

Hi!
I bought a ford edge 2020 from USA. I from Poland. I really would like to converse sync 3 to polish maps and language. All right, what I done before:

  1. Originally version of sync3 was 3.4.19274 and I updated this to version 3.4.21098 via tool from ford site.
  2. I made a usb drive via syn3 updater with polish map and language.
  3. The sync3 was updated but not really because when sync3 restarted itself show messege “installation failed, error code: mem_err01”.
  4. I took a usb drive from hub in car and start forscan. In forscan I change values in appropriate adresse like in tutorial.

Now I can see Europe map on dipslay but navigation do not recognize polish cities ( recognize only cities from USA) and I can switch language to polish. Can you help me?

PS next I made a log. I have 25 GB total memory and free space 1.5 GB. Then I remove gracenote and now I have 2.2 GB free space.

You need the proper cut down maps. Something is missing. @CyanLabs can direct you what you need to do.

Remember: DO NOT REFORMAT.

You can’t change regions without reformat, therefore on a my20 you can’t change region.

Ok. Then after remove the gracenote I put on a usb drive with maps made via syn3 updater(the same usb drive with maps which I used before) to usb hub in car. The updating of software was continued, it took about 40 minutes and sync3 reset itself. Again I have polish language and maps but I can’t set the target on Navi ( it didn’t recognize polish cities). When sync3 wake up it again start updating of software. It took about 30 minutes and I saw that installation is completed. Again I have polish language and maps but I can’t set the target on Navi ( it didn’t recognize polish cities). So I decided to do a master reset. I did it and it is fine. Now I have a full polish language in sync3 and Navi show my actual position and I can set a target in polish city( Navi recognize polish and I can set road to target). In my opinion all operation succeed. If you want I can full describe my case.

Could you please run the APIM Interrogator Tool and post the results?

Hi! I made a log. I cant add a log like a file so i add it in text.

Thank you, very helpful.

If you want I can do a description of all things that I done  .

No, the log is enough for what I needed to see, thanks.

Ok, no problem. Can you write what you wanted see, because I’m wonder? If you can’t write here, write in pm to me. Thanks.

Can you write what maps, voice files you exactly installed or give your autoinstall file?

What are you looking to do? Update the app and maps thru the Syn3 Updater. You are a 2020 vehicle, so do not use the reformat tool.

Hi, what is it a reformat tool?

Files which I installed in sync3.

REFORMAT TOOL - 1u5t-14g386-cb.tar.gz

This file reformats the EMMC storage in the APIM.

Can you show what your autoinstall.lst file looked like?

Welcome back, @Lubel

Autoinstall probably was downgrade to 3.3.19052, then reformat with those files.

the most important to me is to install maps. I know I can’t use the reformat tools. The question is, do I have to change region in apim in forscan?

Yes, if you are changing maps, you need to change the region.
