I recently got Sync 3 on my 2013 Ford Fusion and everything works just fine except for my heated seats, the buttons show up on the screen and lights up on the control panel, but the seats never turn on, has anyone had this issue? I looked through it using FORscan and everything looks fine, and I did change from Sync 2 to Sync 3 in FORscan settings
SYNC Region: NA

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
No error message
I changed the AB using the database here, I’ll post it soon as it’s on another device. It is a Titanium and it did have the 8” MFT. How do you update the FCIM?
You would need ForScan 2.4.x to update the firmware in the FCIM.
The attached is a working config for a 2014 SE with heated seats, HD radio, RVC, NAV, rear parking sensors. If you use this AB you would need to make at least the changes below.
For the Ti you would need to change 7D0-01-01 Xxxx-xxxx-xx to an A as you have the Sony DSP, if you don’t have NAV you would change 7D0-01-02 xXxx-xxxx-xx to a 0
I tried the config you provided and heated seats still don’t work. I changed the other values as well but it didn’t work either. I’ll provide the APIM data, does the FCIM data affect them as well? Also, I didn’t see a way to update the FCIM in FORscan unless I missed something.
The ForScan update for the FCIM is a firmware/calibration update, you have to have v2.4.x of ForScan and a good OBD2 like an OBDLink EX to keep from bricking the unit.
In the APIM config change 7D0-01-01 xxxx-xxxx-xX to 0 then after the save perform a module reboot.
Do the physical heated seat cap buttons work with the buttons removed from the screen?
Look in the FORScan module list for your vehicle and see if there is a SCME climate module for your seats. You can look at your OEM asbuilt and see if it is there. If so, the FCIM settings are not what you need to adjust, as those do not affect the seats if you have the SCME seat module.
Also, take a look at the seat module if there is one. It is common for the seat module output connector to burn and loose the ground connection, which will open the seat circuit for heating. If so, you will need to repair the connector and possibly the module.
This is a rather well documented issue with Ford seat modules…
I spent the weekend trying to figure out what was wrong. I found out it was the control panel gave out but only for the heated seats? Every wire underneath looked fine and I didn’t have the controller under the passenger seat that I saw in the videos. So it’s fixed for now
