Spent some time entering VIN’s into the ford sync update. seems bizarre that they appear to only offer updates to some vehicles, and not others. Age appears to not play a massive part in the decision with a 2021 Puma being offered 3.4.23188 while a 2021 Ranger is only offered 3.4.2220. how odd? anyone know why ??
It’s just the production release cycle and compatibility certifications. It takes time to go thru the models with different options. (Yes, this can be argued that Ford does not seem to check all this…)
The Ford web site said my car was upto date with 3.4.22200 and F11. Other vins I checked of the same car said the previous version was upto date.
I installed 3.4.23188 checked the web site and it said I had outdated maps and offered F12. Or so I thought. Turns out it was F11 which Ford previous said was upto date. No wonder I couldn’t clear it with interrogator and F12
I was waiting patiently but I’ve given up on Ford.
