For my Ford KUGA with sync 3 the ford website says sync 3.4.26057 update available, but the link is still the 3.4.23188 build. Any other having the same issue?
SYNC Region: EU
Navigation Variant: Nav
Manufacturer Year: MY20
Install Type: OEM
Old SYNC Version: 3.4.23188
New SYNC Version: 3.4.26057
Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
N/A
Same here in the US, the package is NU5T-14G381-AD
So unless they are pulling some slight of hand crap like Microsoft used to do back around 2000 where a fixed patch was released with the exact same name as the previous buggy patch their download servers still don’t have the right links.
Downloaded NU5T-14G381-AD through the Ford website and tried to apply it multiple times. The current version installed is build 23188 and eventhough the update seems to have gone well, after restarting still the current version displays. Since I am no export in reading log, I had AI have a go at them and the issue highlighted is that there is too less space for staging. This what I got:
The APIM is still genuinely on build 3.4.23188, despite the attempted 26057 update.
The XML confirms the update never actually flashed the core system. So this is not just a display/cache issue anymore.
Given:
current build = 23188
EU NAV unit
partitions nearly full
isFlashed=“false” in the logs
empty installation log
repeated identical software identifiers
The update method is the problem, not the hardware.
I just checked the SYNC3 Universal USB Update Tool Manager and downloaded the new -AE there and the version.der file checks out with the proper hash and epoch.
Downloaded the file thru Edge from http://ivsu.binaries.ford.com/swparts and the file is good, same results.
Downloaded the file from Auron’s link from yesterday, all good.
I called up the sync division and they asked for my VIN and I passed along it’s not right they said wait 1-2 weeks or of course drag it to a dealer if we want it sooner. They opened a ticket and might fix the site now though at least.
Does it work for fusions? my wife has a 2019 titanium but it’s not showing this one on the ford site for hers. I’m wondering if it’s got improvements or if this hard locked to 2020s and up
