I have a 2017 ford fusion energi. I have added a h series tcu to it that was previously working in my 2017 ford fusion energi. That car was totaled so I wanted to transfer the part to the new car. I got it installed in the 2017 and the go times are working like they should but the app won’t give me the option to activate the features. When I added it to the 2014 it was pretty instant asking to activate them. The 2017 still acts likes it doesn’t have one. I have tried setting it back to factory mode and them setting the correct as built for the car and it’s currently in waiting for Auth mode but I’m not seeing the option to actually authorize it in the app. Do I need to contact ford about this or is there something else I can do. I have tried a master reset and the apim is seeing the serial number.
Did you follow F150 Chiefs activation guide and do your have a Ford PIFA antenna installed?
Was a master reset performed on the APIM after the TCU was installed?

Yes. I followed his guide and did the reset after it was installed. I just did it again to be sure and it hasn’t changed in the app. I also signed out again. I am attaching the part numbers as well. I do have the pifa antenna although it’s not the one I was using in the other car. I was using a cheap ebay replacement in that one. This one I found in a 2020 fusion at the junkyard. The pods say it has service and it did go through the factory mode, unprovisioned, connection to home url, and then the waiting for auth mode it’s currently in.
If you’ve got signal the next question is where is the vehicle located (eg US, CA, etc) and what country was the donor vehicle built for.
If I remember correctly the H series were region specific in that there IMEI would only activate in certain countries?
I am in the US and it was built for the US. It was working in the 2014 I had. Just isn’t in the 2017 I just got when I transferred it to the new car.
