My 2018 FORD focus was on Sync 3.4 rev 20136 (EU version) but still on map F7
I have try to update MAP to F9
With Syn3 updater, i’ve download MAP package F9 (windows automated method)
I have a red screen “ERROR UPDATE PACKAGES NOT FOUND…”
I’ve try to reinstall with another usb stick, but still the same message, and after i have screen “starting update” on loop
I don’t know what to do!!!

Please post the log.txt file from the USB here. I assume you are reformatting since you have the red screen with error. Did you see the Mustang splash screen?
I’ve formated the first USB used for the update.

The APIM is in “boot mode”, it’s probably getting hung up on installing the 3.3.19052 which is not listed in the reformat.lst file. This is ok, it’s not supposed to be, but this is the issue with doing all this on one USB drive. Modify the autoinstall.lst file and it should complete the upgrade.

I’ve try and it doesn’t work 
I looks like it’s stuck in the reformat looking for files on the drive. If the unit is sitting on a red screen, disconnect the battery power for 5 minutes and reconnect. The unit should boot to 3.3.19052, since that is where the autoinstall.lst scripting would have left it. See if you can recover the unit to that point…

Likely a folder or filename issue, post screenshots of the current content of your folders and autoinstall.lst
As you are already in the reformat tool any changes to autoinstall.lst’s are going to be pointless, the issue is with the reformat.lst
This won’t be correct, as soon as the reformat tool boots it wipes the eMMC it won’t be bootable to anything other than reformat mode till the install is fully complete.
Ok, so what should i do? I’m disapointed!
if you are getting “starting update” then nothing, use another USB drive. make sure you only have 1 USB drive plugged in to the car etc
Additionally do not panic this almost 100% recoverable. it’s just simply waiting for files to be properly readable, usually a bad usb
