How to Troubleshoot Sync 3 Update Stuck at "Installing Update" Screen?

Hello everyone

I am having a bit of a meltdown with my Ford Sync 3 update! Been following the CyanLabs Syn3 Updater guide to a T, but my system’s been stuck on “Installing Update” for hours now. Not exactly progress city.

Here’s the situation:

Sync Stuck in First Gear: Currently running Sync 3 version 3.0, and trying to shift it into the latest CyanLabs gear.

USB Drive Ready to Roll: Using a 32GB USB drive, formatted to exFAT and loaded with the update files, just like the instructions say.

My trusty steed: My vehicle is a 2018 Ford F-150.

Tried Restarting Everything: Restarted the truck, jiggled the USB drive in and out, even waited patiently (for a really long time), but the update screen is like a stubborn mule - won’t budge!

Wondering if anyone has a clue what might be causing this or how to get things moving again. Maybe someone else has faced this update roadblock and has some wisdom to share?

What’s actually on the screen right now?
Do you have the standard Sync3 screen, the Mustang or ?

I’m not sure why you didn’t create a thread with the template, that would give use a lot of information.

So, lets make this simpler:
A) provide the log for the usb you are using for upgrading
B) create and run an interrogator log against the unit, then share the produced XML with us
