Make a new USB thru Syn3Updater for only the Sync 3 app for 3.3.19052. Do not include any other files. The autuoinstall.lst file should be the same as above that you used before. Run this in the vehicle. If this is successful, you will have 3.3.19052 installed and can then install the 3.4 software and voice file without reformatting. Keep in mind you will likely not have enough free space on the APIM to install GN when installing Sync 3.4.

It might help to disconnect power for 5 minutes from the APIM if needed. Disconnecting the battery would suffice.

also, would this be in the interrogator log phase?
I had reformatted the USB for 3.3.19052 but to continue I must go to the interrogator log phase.

Firstly, be aware that is it’s Christmas, reply times are going to be longer than normal. Secondly this is community driven.

Anyway…

Make sure in Syn3Updater settings you have reset your current version back to 3.0.xxxxx for example 3.0.00000 as if Syn3 Updater thinks you are on 3.2+ it will use autoinstall instead of reformat.

No problem, in addition to what i said above, when asked if you are MY20 or not, you already know you are not so you can say it’s not MY20, if you were MY20 you wouldn’t have been able to get to the mustang screen.

Hello, I’m still having an orange screen it can’t find the packages.

You need to not make a interrogator log, thats not going to work at this stage!

Everytime you create a new usb, post your LOG without this we can’t help.

It’s not really clear where you issue is. i get very minimal responses from you.

Please explain in detail, the last things you have done and the current state of your SYNC and what issue you are having.

Also, not sure why you decided to only post half of a log file, that doesn’t help.

this was from initially trying to update, which got me stuck.
that half file is “download only” on my attempt to fix it. if I hit start it would’ve brought me to interrogator.

The 14G422 file is a map voice file. You should not have used this anyways…

Now, where is the APIM stuck?
When it boots, what screen does it stop at?
Is it still stuck in the reformatter?

Now that it’s back, please do not install the maps. You can now go to the Syn3Updater and update via AUTOINSTALL to the level you would like. You DO NOT need to reformat.
