Is it recommended to do initial 3.4.19101 update and then update to latest 3.4.23188 or is it safe if I go from 3.0.23219 to 3.4.23188?

You start with running the interrogator to make sure that the APIM has hardware which is compatible with the reformat process, this helps prevent bricking the APIM.

If you have a non-NAV APIM you’ll probably want to go the 3.4.21265 first as there are some issues with running 3.4.23188 on older non-3.4 native APIMs.

You can go directly to the latest version but for non-nav there is a bug in later versions past 3.4.21265 with the GPS, so stay with 3.4.21265. There is nothing special about 3.4.19101…
