Ok I’ll upload that as soon as its done, the copy take forever. But so far i did everything correctly right? for the current version i just put down 2.3 and it suggested the format mode. thx for the fast reply btw!

Is it possible to not update the map? will the old version of the map still work and i did some changes using forscan will it be deleted?
The old maps are not compatible with the new versions past 3.2.xxx, different file system layouts. The FORScan changes will be retained, although you should make a backup of them. If you find any issues once upgraded, reload the entire asbuilt backup and perform a master reset.

There is a possibility that the update will not work because you are on 2.3.17109. If the update fails again, perform an update to 3.0.19205, then update to 3.4.20237 with maps thru the reformat. This should work.
Use another usb and save the one you already created with the 3.4 update if possible.

Follow the instructions below:
- Create a USB drive (format as EXFAT) with a SyncMyRide folder.
- Copy the file downloaded above into the SyncMyRide folder.
- In the root of the USB is the autoinstall.lst and DONTINDX.MSA files which you can obtain from any upgrade you previously performed. (from the CyanLabs usb…)
- Using notepad, you will need to create the autoinstall.lst file so it looks like the example below. When you save it, make sure it has a .lst extension, not .txt.

Options = AutoInstall
- Insert USB in vehicle and wait for the installation to complete. You should see a message indicating completion. This should update the unit to 3.0.19205.
- Remove the USB drive and reboot the APIM. It may reboot by itself. Let it completely reboot and then check everything works.
You will now be able to upgrade using the Syn3 Updater usb you created.

Are all the files in the SyncMyRide folder?
The error is that it can’t find the files…what point in the installation is it failing? Do you get to the Mustang splash screen?
If you have another usb you might try that. It looks like the usb might have an issue.

Bought a new usb every went smoothly! Only thing is when I click on nav on the screen nothing happens
Did you change region? if so you need to update your asbuilt to reflect this, also did you install maps? without maps you won’t have maps as the 2.x 3.0 maps are not compatible with 3.4
If you have not done so, perform a master reset. Also, you have your region set to 5553, NA. Or Canada, based on the temp display.
Post the log file from the root of the usb.

I can’t read whatever language that is but i’m going to guess, you are trying to Install EU on a NA APIM which is not possible. 30minute mark is a good indicator that this is the issue.

Indeed you are correct.
You cannot install maps on this unit, please only install the app, voice and gracenotes. This article may help you understand the problem.
