Just wondering if it is a must for car to be running while doing install of 3.4 to 2018 ford fusion or can it just be on batter charger?
You can install with the engine running or on battery charger with ignition on, but be aware of the 30 minute timeout in either case. To defeat this, simply open and close the door during the process, It will not affect anything but will keep the ignition on. Most models this will work. Make sure you use a 10 amp or better static charger as the newer vehicle draw 6-8 amps just sitting with ignition on and engine off.
