Issue Upgrading 3.4.23188

Hi there,

I’m currently running 3.3.1 (R19301a) and I’m struggling to install 3.4.23188

I have a 2020 (it’s a 2019 “model” but made in 2020 Focus Mark 4 (UK) No Maps and when I insert the formatted memory stick I get a message saying “Indexing CyanLabs” immediately follwed by “No Media found on this device” then nothing happens.

I’ve tried redownloading the files and reformatting again and the same issue.

I’ve also tried the interrogated log but get the same message with no other confirmation.

I’ve follwed all the instructions and set it as autoinstall, MY20 checked and current version as 3.3.19301 ( think this is the correct version, as it’s listed in my unit as F1.3 etc (F1.3.3.1_R19301a) but I beleive to have found this is the correct version number.

Does anny one have any suggestions on what I’ve done wrong!

Since this is a NON-NAV unit, you can’t place all those files on it at once, it does not have the memory to do that.

Run the Interrogator Utility in the Syn3 Updater so we can see what is on the unit and storage…

Thanks for getting back to me.

I tried to run the interrogator but I faced the exact same issue.

I created the usb, plugged it into the car and got the same issue, it says “Indexing Cyanlabs” -then immediately “No Media Found on Device”

I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong here!

Hello.

That’s not Sync3. Check the Requirements page for visual “confirmation”, but your unit does not seem to have Sync3, so you can’t upgrade with Syn3updater.

That’s Sync 2.5, CyanLabs does not support that version.

After doing a bit more research you’re both absolutely correct. This is a 2.5 unit! Sorry.. thanks for all your help!
