Issue with EU Map Update (cut version) – MEM_ERR01

Hi everyone, I need some help with an issue that occurred during the update of the EU maps (cut version) using CyanLabs Syn3 Updater.

During the installation, a message appeared on the car’s display asking me to turn off the ignition to save battery. I instinctively turned off the ignition, which interrupted the update. When I reinserted the USB drive to continue the installation, I received an error message: MEM_ERR01.

I’ve tried restarting the installation, but the error persists. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue or how to complete the map installation successfully?

When you update Sync3 or any module you have to have the car on a charger or have the engine running (if the module allows it).
The System Off to Save battery that you tried to do the update without either of the these.
Was this interrupted during a reformat or?
The MEM01 is what I’d usually expect if someone tried to run a reformat without downgrading from 3.4 to 3.3 first.

Hi, yes, you’re absolutely right, I forgot to do the downgrade to 3.3. Now that I’ve actually done the downgrade, I’m still getting the MEM_ERR01. Could you please advise me on what to do about this? I need to resolve it so I can install the European maps afterward. Thank you!

Hi, I’ve tried several options using the Sync 3 Updater, following the steps exactly as shown in the attached screenshot, but I keep getting the MEM_ERR01 error. Based on the lack of response after 3 days, I assume you were in fact changing regions (something that we do not support, but you can always check this thread for guidance) or you solved the issue.
