Hi guys I am trying to make USB and it’s stuck at “5U5T-14G391-AS_1644006548000.TAR.GZ” download. Says 3 failed attempts to download. What might be the issue? I am upgrading from 3.0.2024 to the latest.

This is how I set things. On “Start button” I selected “No” as I am sure my unit is not 2020 or later model. My Mondeo MK5 is 2016.
Set a single download connection in the configuration.
I’m also assuming you have enough free space for it to download.
If that also fails, use another network.
@SaNdMaN Yes I set single download connection (worked!), also there is over 50GB drive space on my C partition, that’s enough? Please can you check my log file from official update. Maybe you can confirm based on that am I good to go?

Yes, 50GB is enough for downloading the packages.
About the log it looks ok, as long has your unit has not been replaced or serviced you are ok to proceed.
The APIM’s model indicates it’s an H series APIM, which originally are not MY20.

Great, thanks! Will give it a try. What happened 5 minutes ago is that Syn3 Updater comes into “Not responding” state for some reason, I am at 60% of downloading status complete. I started it again and it’s working now… Is that issue, it should do all things right on USB?

Yes, it’s recommended that syn3updater creates and validates the USB.

I just updated it from 3.0.20204 to 3.4.22110 EU. Worked perfectly. Took around 50 minutes. Was some error when started my car again and navigation error, master reset fixed it all. Android auto works, bt also, climate… everything just works. F11 maps. Thank you guys so much for this!

Just small update, it still works 
Was driving today for about 100KM, everything is at it should be I have one question regarding navigation, can guides be displayed on dashboard? If yes, what needs to be done about that?
The default nav should be displayed there, as in 3.0.
Android Auto should also, but Car Play won’t
Did not try on Android Auto, tried with navigation (built in) but nothing

Oh, that’s ok then, upgrading to newer versions should not activate or deactivate desired stock functions.
That being said, I think there’s a setting that’s not configurable through UI that can enable that. What you are looking for is the “Navigation Repeater”.
I’m not 100% sure, but I think so.
You would need a proper ODB connector and Forscan.

Before you buy something, I recommend you open a new thread under the as built category, since depending on some variables, maybe there’s something else you will need to do beside modifying some values with forscan.
For instance, IPC firmware upgrade.
I’m saying this because I drive a Focus that’s still running Sync3 3.0 and the navigation instruction is shown in the IPC.
Changing values with forscan is easy, upgrading firmware is something else…
You can search the forums as well the internet, there’s plenty of information.
There are a few places for navigation repeater, also a few different options, you may also need a IPC firmware upgrade. posting in #ford:asbuilt is a good place to start
And checking our IPC Database may also help
