This is correct. You have to set the region via FORScan. Also, you must set the map type to NNG from TeleNav, as the maps are not the same format. Instructions are in the tutorial posted above. The ACM settings are optional.
Then update the APIM via the Syn3 Updater, set for the appropriate region, in your case “Central America, Caribbean, India and Sri Lanka, Israel, Middle East, North Africa, South Africa, South East Asia”
