Hi guys I been trying to fix this prompt loop from appearing every time I start my truck up with the help of AI Google Gemini and it’s still happening after playing with cyanlabs software. Can anyone give me some advice is this fixable or I need to learn to live with it or buy a new apim?
2019 F150 302A w/Nav from factory
Issue Summary
Hardware Setup: Factory Sync 3 APIM module paired with an aftermarket 12" CarABC display interface. ,(issue was already occurring before swapping APIM module over to the navigator screen after updating from sync 3.3 to 3.4)
Current Sync Version: SYNC 3.4, Build 23188 (NU5T-14G381-AD).
Primary Symptoms:
Every engine start triggers the “Confirm Settings” pop-up (Automatic Updates / SYNC Diagnostics).
Deleting paired Bluetooth/CarPlay devices from system memory appears to work while running, but all deleted devices reappear upon the next power cycle/reboot.
System preferences do not persist across ignition cycles.
Troubleshooting & Steps Attempted
Soft Reset & Master Reset:
Executed standard soft reset and Master Reset through Settings. Symptoms persisted immediately after a full power cycle.
rwdata Cleaner Attempt (PU5T-14G386-BB):
Generated script via Syn3 Updater (Utility tab).
Script executed successfully: displayed “Updating System Software…” followed by the completion message to remove the drive.
Screen rebooted automatically. The initial prompt did not appear on that immediate boot, but returned on the subsequent cold start/power-off sleep cycle. Deleted devices also reappeared.

APIM Model: KU5T-14G371-CDF (Nav, 32GB, Pre-MY20 / Gen 3.2)
AsBuilt: 2A2A000600822904048A
Key Partition Metrics:
/fs/rwdata/ = 42M / 1.2G (Cleaner script successfully cleared main root storage)
/fs/rwdata/quip/ = 35M / 35M (100% Full)
/fs/rwdata/quip/ (alternate mount) = 81M / 90M
Key Findings & Questions for the Community
The rwdata cleaner utility (PU5T-14G386-BB) successfully freed up /fs/rwdata/ down to 42MB, but the sub-directory /fs/rwdata/quip/ remains maxed out at 35M/35M.
Because this specific cache partition remains full/locked, the APIM behaves as if it is in read-only mode, failing to commit setting flags or device deletions to eMMC storage during shutdown.
Questions:
Is there a specific script or method to target and purge the /fs/rwdata/quip/ directory specifically?
Given that this is a pre-MY20 KU5T module, is running a full Reinstall / Reformat via Syn3 Updater recommended to rebuild the partition tables, or does this quip partition lock point to permanent eMMC chip hardware failure?
