I always download my sync files via the Official Ford Owners UK website for the sync and map updates.

I didn’t the main sync update no issues, but when I try to do the map update I get the error LIC_ERR01 I’ve downloaded the file again and made no difference.

Is the issue with the maps update or am I doing something strange

You probably need the license file for the map installation. That can be downloaded from the same website as the maps.
