Is it possible to stay on my current 3.0.20204 but update to a newer NA map version? I was looking through the SYN3 Updater, but did not see that as being an option. I apologize if this has been discussed prior. Please advise

You can only install the 2.20 maps without a reformat. There is no license found yet for the 2.21 maps so reformat is the only way to get these.
Check the Ford website though as a lot of new cars get the map updates 5 years for free.
You will need to install the Sync 3.0 version of the maps. You will need to update the maps thru the Ford distributed update package or obtain them manually below.
The Syn3 Updater does not support Sync 3.0.
You did not mention which map version you have presently, so…
The NA 2.21 maps are ESN locked, so you MUST obtain this version from the Ford Navigation update site. Ford - Sync3 Map Update
The NA 2.20 maps are not ESN locked, so you can install this version.
The Sync 3.0 NA 2.20 maps must be installed in 2 installations, as there will not be enough space for a single installation on the APIM. Below are the file listing and the autoinstall files.

Apologies, but as a newbie, I’m sure you gave me all the information I needed in your previous post to complete the autoinstall, but I’m not sure what I need to do to continue. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you check the website to see if you are eligible for the NA2.21 Ford packaged upgrade?
I’ll have some instructions for the NA2.20 installation tomorrow…
@F150Chief - thank you very much. Yes, I did visit the site and I am available for an upgrade to NA 2.21, but only for a fee. I look forward to the NA2.20 installation instructions and getting the maps updated!
Here is the tutorial I wrote for this. Read thru it fully. You probably don’t need to do the Sync 3.0.20204 installation part, as you have this installed. But, if you did not install the newer voice file and Gracenotes (optional), you should fix that. If you did, then all is good.
The NAV section is what we are really concerned with here. Follow the instructions in the tutorial and see if this works for you.
