Maps Update Question

Hello, newbie here, I created a USB drive to update my 2020 Ford Edge maps. I used the tool, selected update maps only, 2020 version. It created the USB just fine. I inserted it today, all seemed to complete as normal, I even got a message saying update complete. But when I look at the Software Versions screen, the maps version still reads NA 118. Shouldn’t that have changed?

Assuming you read the instructions, it’s stated maps only update takes quite some time and multiple reboots. Did your unit reboot multiple times?. Have you master reset?.

If all those are “yes”, then create an interrogator log, run it against the unit and post back the results here.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes to the time taken and the reboots, plus got a success message. No to the master reset. Guess I’ll have to try thst next, was trying to avoid it if possible. Still wondering if the NA 118 means it didnt update.

A master reset is recommended, but if you want you can create the interrogator log first, then we will see.
The log will show what packages are installed.

So i tried the install again and it worked. It immediately said ‘intalling updates’ then 45 minutes later asked me if I wanted to install updates, then about another 45 minutes (unattended so i dont know how many reboots) later it was done, said it would update on next start of car. Which it did, now shows NA 2 20. Hope this helps someone.

Thank you for the update.

If packages were missing, the interrogator log would have said so, that’s why we asked for it. That can be solved by just installing the missing packages.

Anyway, glad it worked.
