Master Clock

I recently upgraded to a sync 3 in my 2016 F250. No matter which setting I use for the Master Clock, the time always resets itself. According to the ford Master clock PDF, the truck should use the BCM, but my factory APIM blocks read as the APIM being the Master Clock on the Sync 2 system. Neither function works.

The Sync 3 is navigation, but I need to update the antenna and use a splitter to get it to work properly. I would just like to have a working Clock in the meantime if possible.

Will add log when I can

You have to have the right antenna to have the clock work correctly. The BCM gets the clock signal from the antenna so it will have to be replaced or use an aftermarket one for the APIM.

I had what sounds like the same problem ; I could not change the time under settings. Whatever I did it would go back to what it was a second or two later. This issue resolved itself once I did a proper region change -upgrade. See my other thread on region change to ANZ.

On the 2016 F250 just like the 2016 Fusion this was drawn by MFT from the GPSM, which Sync3 doesn’t use.
Your solution may be the same as the resolution for those that had 2016 Fusions with clock and compass issues, replace the GWM with a USED on from a 2017. The reason given for a used one being needed is that the recovery process for a new 2017 GWM will fail as the vehicle is not a 2017.

Can you post the current APIM AB?
