I tried to update my maps from F13 to the updated F13 (2024) release.
I set off on a 1.5-hour journey this morning. Part 1 of the installation started normally, but then SYNC displayed the message asking me to perform a key cycle. I couldn’t stop immediately, so I continued driving while the system carried on updating.
When I reached my destination, I switched the car off, assuming this would count as the key cycle. I returned to the car about an hour later, and SYNC reported that Part 1 was complete and Part 2 would now begin.
However, Part 2 only runs for around 10 minutes before failing with:
Installation Failed – Error code: MEM_ERR03
Troubleshooting so far:

Performed a master reset.

Removed Gracenotes using Syn3 Updater (after generating the interrogator log below).

Retried the official Ford USB update, but it failed with the same error.

This isn’t causing any ongoing problems, as SYNC and navigation still work normally, but it’s frustrating that the installation won’t complete.
