Yes, it blinks when i insert it.
And I might add, a bad counterfeit at that. The label is too big, the extra sticker shows it should be a remanufacture, and the unit serial number is bogus. Also, the batch number is out of sequence.

Another think I’ve just noticed, the added sticker on the sticker is hiding the Ford logo…
It’s funny how the added stickers, both of them, are hiding trademarked/registered names…
It always amazes me how they make such dumb mistakes
So it’s at unknown state.
Here’s the thing: since the unit is fake, the Lord only knows what’s going on inside of it.
There’s only one certainty: if the unit was not fake, the upgrade would had be successful because the unit would run normal Ford “commands” and we would not be having this conversation.
All of that it out since the unit is fake, I would say it’s a gonner, or at least you can’t fix it. Maybe the seller could, but again, since it’s a fake unit I personally would not know how to proceed.
In addition to this many reviews on my link say “stopped working after x time” so yeah its fake, cheap and unsupported by everyone including CyanLabs

Contact Amazon and return the unit based on the failure and that you received what you believe is counterfeit goods from the seller. Amazon policy is to refund the purchase price of the product in these cases, has nothing to do with the seller approval.
Purchase a legit unit from the sources CyanLabs posted above or other. I have had good luck with Simply Michigan on Ebay and a few others. If in doubt, you can ask here.
