Now my truck is showing navigation error. I did the diagnostics but it does not show any satellite tracking data or time info. Please help. My country is Togo and I have followed the steps as per the guide and updated APIM and ACM characters as mentioned. Thanks a lot. ‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’‘’’

PS: I have tried installing twice and performed master reset each time. Still no luck!

Does everything else such as radio, music, phone etc. work as normal apart from navigation?
You had nav. before the update?

I think you edited the log beyond hiding your VIN

That package does not exist.

Besides, you are changing regions, which is not supported by cyanlabs and required modifications go the APIM’s configuration.

I’m sure you will be able to find information on the forums though, since there’s a tutorial that you will find relevant as reference (installing EU maps on a NA imported vehicle)

Hi @wiz043 yes the nav was working fine while i was driving in Canada. Also, when the truck got here, I could see the GPS data but obviously no maps. The surprising thing right now is that after the update, the data from the GPS sensor has stopped coming. Radio, music, phone is all working as it should.

If anything else is needed, I can promptly provide that also. I have modified the APIM using FORScan and changed the country code from Canada to Togo (544F). Also modified the ACM. Kinda worried now why the GPS sensor has stopped outputting the data. Or why I have lost connection with it.

It worked!!! I went for a different version of Sync which was Sync 3.4.21265. Now kinda afraid to go to the latest version or perform the software update. The version which was giving me issue was Sync 3.4.23088. Now my truck is in Togo and I have loaded ROW (ALL) maps and it works like a charm. Thanks for all the support received so far. I will be happy to help if someone faces similar issues.

Yep…apparently version 21265 is deemed one of the most stable if you want to go back to a previous version. :slightly_smiling_face:

Apologies for the delayed response. I do not think Sync3 version has something to do with it.
This can be easily tested: upgrade to a new Sync3 build while keeping maps, it’s a short process (10-15 minutes)… If other builds have issues, you can always go back to the one that works.

But it would be the first time I would see that navigation stops working because of Sync3 version.

The Sync version change via reformat wiped the RWdata folder and reset the map location data, etc…

To my knowledge once you update with Cyanlabs Ford no longer recognizes your vehicle for updates.
You probably should just disable automatic updates and wifi anyway and just use Cyanlabs for future updates. :wink:

@osamahaji I just followed the instructions step by step and they are actually nicely written. I would suggest to follow them thoroughly and if during any step you face difficulty then I will be happy to assist. And like mentioned above, firstly please check the version of your sync.
