Navigation on APIM without nav support

I want to upgrade my APIM from SYNC 3.0 19205. My APIM has no options for navigation, however in the diagnostic menu it was able to connect to satellites (for navigation possibly?). I only want to download the UK map so it shouldn’t be too much in size. My question is if i will be able to update my APIM to the latest 3.4 update and have support for navigation. I don’t know if the map will fit on the storage.

It won’t, you need to source a NAV APIM.

Thats correct, You dont have the memory to contain the maps and the only way to get it is to replace the APIM with one that does. The sat signals are for emergency assist location. They would work for GPS if you had a GPS capable APIM though.
