Hello, I need assistance with identifying an APIM to determine if it has navigation capabilities. The model number is GR26A-MC3T-14G370-ACA and it currently displays a black screen. Since this was a gift, I don’t have much information on it and I’m unable to find any details on whether or not it includes navigation features. Can anyone provide me with some guidance? Thank you.

Install Type: Unknown

Old SYNC Version: 3.0.20204

New SYNC Version: 3.0.20204

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
It has a black screen

Hi, that APIM is not on the db, so hard to say.
But since it’s presenting a black screen, once you fix that you will be able to tell.
I’m saying this because nav or not, the black screen issue must be solved.
BUT, it’s a MY20… So, MY20+ + black scree tells a story, right?

We need the 14G371 number not the 14g370 number. May be behind the screen (remove it from the APIM)

Thats an M series APIM NOT a G series. A 2020+ module at that. MC3T-14G370-ACA

Yes it has Nav. I would guess it is blacked out because you have the wrong screen or it was reformatted. Both symptoms of a 2020+ APIM.

The person who gave it to me used the ford update and it bricked the apim that’s what he told me

That does not sound normal but I guess anything could happen. Even Cyanlabs uses the Ford files to update so take it for what it is worth I guess.

How did you achieve that?

Don’t ever use Cyanlabs to format this APIM. You can do the SYNC updates with Cyanlabs but you will not be able to update the maps.

i guess it just needed to be connected to the car and use the correct screen and it worked
