New owner - garmany ford focus mkIII 1.5 turnier

Hello everyone, first of all I apologize if I am not respecting any rules.

I’m a new user of a 2017 ford focus mkIII (produced in germany) with navigation version. I have a few questions that anyone can answer.

What is the difference between update via ford official(wifi) vs cyanlabs?

I just need a map of Spain and Portugal, is it possible to choose only these two to reduce the size of the update?

Software and hardware info
My version is sync3 - 2.2
Compilation 16280_product

Version gracenote 1.1.1.794 (eu-0010)
Nav map version: eu4 15.

Thank you in advance

SYNC Region: EU

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20

Install Type: Unknown

Old SYNC Version: 2.2 16280

New SYNC Version: 2.2 16280

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
no

Update Method: Official Ford

The source of the files is the same whether via Ford update or CyanLabs.

If you have an EU APIM then you’ll have 64GB of space, adequate for the the newest F13 EU maps.

Hello.

The files are the same, Syn3updater is just a facilitator.
But Ford never wanted your 3.0 to be upgraded to 3.4, so that’s the main difference.

You can create a cutdown map package, yes… but having a 64GB APIM I do not really see any benefit to it (other that a quicker install).
But that’s up to you.
