I upgraded from the 4.2-inch to the 8-inch Sync 3 on a 2015 F150. When I make or receive a phone call, the call audio doesn’t work. Additionally, the auto stop button on the FCIM is not functioning. I did some research and found information on this issue. Can someone confirm if this is the correct fix? Also, why do I need to edit settings in the ACM if the ACM was not changed? Do I need to change the microphone type?
p.s i tried loading the asbuilt on the cyan asbuilt decode but it gave me an error im guessing its because sync 1 is not supported?

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
none
BlueTooth pair is through the APIM, not the ACM.
If the mic isn’t working, with that age a bad mic assembly wouldn’t be surprising.
If this came from the factory with Auto Start/Stop, the APIM should have the config set to either NONE or PHYSICAL BUTTON, just enabling the function with ForScan doesn’t mean it will work.
OK, Bluetooth does work. It can pair the phone and receive or make calls. However, there is no audio during calls. When I switched back to the 4-inch model, everything worked.also So the Auto Start/Stop is in the APIM? I thought it was on the FCIM?
It’s in the FCIM, but there are also settings in the APIM that can screw it up if they aren’t correct.
Easiest example of this I can give is enabling the frost warning on the IPC of a Fusion HEV, using the ForScan easy button or even the HEX AB mode results in the car not having heat in the winter because the setting tells the FCIM that you have an aux heater (which the PHEV does but not the HEV) so the FCIM never requests an engine start for heat.
Did you load your factory AB into the new FCIM or?
