No Clock on Home Screen Sync 3.4.23188 EU

Hi guys, ive recently updatet my Sync …and now i have no Clock showing …only this --:–
After the update, the clock was there for about 5 seconds, and then it disappeared.
Ive tried downgrade from 3.4.23188 to 3.4.21265 but the issue persisted
Then from 3.4.21265 did a reformat update to 3.4.23188 but alsow with no succes
In Setings>Clock i can see the time and set it however i want to…but wen i senect the HOME icon…i see the --:-- again
Wen i bought the car (05.01.2025), it had 3.4.21265 and i’ve JailBrake’d it so i can put some custom backgrounds…and everything worked fine

…is there a “trick” what am i missing and what should i check ?

for rear camera you need to install Optional RVC advanced status bar has screen dimming and clock display you need to install Advanced Calm Display or turn on forscan cooldown for clock display

The photo was taken before the Master Reset and Downgrade and Upgrade …so to my understanding, the “On-Demand Rear View Camera Video” (or the “Custom Backgrounds Loader” that i had installed) has, or should have, nothing to do with the Clock…
So…let me understand this, step by step.

In order to see the Clock displayed again (after the update to 3.4.23188) in the upper middle side of the screen…i need to :

Jailbrake-it again ?
Install “Advanced Status Bar” (witch i did not find on FMods, just the “Enhanced Presets Bar”, if you could help me with a download link, that would be awesome)
Install the “Advanced Calm Display” (witch again, i did not find on FMods, just the"Enhanced Calm Screen") ?

yes…even if in the photos it looks like i did not…in fact i did.

Master Reset when i was on 3.4.21265 (and it was Jailbrake just for “On-Demand Rear View Camera Video” and “Custom Backgrounds Loader” )
Updated to 3.4.23188 and after it finished, again Master Reset (still there was --:–)
Downgrade then from 3.4.23188 to 3.4.21265 and after it finished, again Master Reset (still there was --:-- )
And another update back to 3.4.23188 and after it finished, again Master Reset (and still there was --:–)
My luck i guess it is that it did not get brick-ed…but still i don’t have a working clock showing up

Do a fresh reformat using the FMods universal reformatter (since this is already JB),
DON’T add anything else to the APIM after the reformat is complete.
Do you have the clock after you do that?
If you do then load the on demand rear video, if the clock is still there, then load the other one. If that one breaks the clock you need to contact the developer of the mod.

he issue is with the RVC—it does modify your top bar to add the camera button. You don’t need to reformat; just restore it to OEM. Simply join the fmods Telegram group—there are people there who can provide the fix.

I have same issue. But not after update. When I investigated settings in APIM (playing with FORSCAN), set selection from NorthAmerica (why European Explorer should be set to NorthAmerica …) to Europe region and time was disapeared - only --:-- . After setting it back, all works fine.

If you’re assuming the Forscan easy buttons are perfect, they’re not.
(eg turning on the IPC Ice warning on a Fusion Hybrid, the easy button disables engine startup for heat since the value is for a PHEV which has an aux heater)
Just as there are things in the APIM database that may not be exactly correct (eg wiper options that show as B car only but work on a 2017-2020 Fusion).

Ford engineering for NA isn’t done just in Detroit any more than EU engineering is only done at Cologne, the settings values and functions all depend on the calibration/firmware loaded in other modules in the car. Sometimes you have things that are EU specific (eg the TCU or ACM) other times its the same part just with a different number on it.

There is no EU Explorer version, these are NA vehicles imported to EU. Settings should NOT be set to EU versions as they do not apply.

Ok so, for my understanding…this is not a Update Issue or a version issue…or a JailBrake or “On-Demand Rear View Camera Video” and “Custom Backgrounds Loader” issue …and the problem with --:-- should be repaired if i connect to my car with Forscan and in the APIM settings, i just set the region to NorthAmerica (even if i am living in Europe) ?
Sorry for the late reply…lately I’m using AndoidAuto more (just to have the Clock displayed) but perhaps is better this way brainstorming with you guys and making knowledgebase for other users that encounter the same issue as is did
I will give this a try (change in the APIM from EU to NA) and come back after with the result.

But there is still one issue that i can’t understand : how comes, that on the first start of the car…the Clock is displayed correctly for about 4 seconds, and after that it shows the --:--

The problem is the mods used in the JB, we already did the homework and gave you the information. As @SFRANCO said above, restore the unit to OEM and fix the clock. Then you can go back and install the mods if you like.
