Yes, thank you, exactly what I asked.
So yes, there’s not enough free space on the APIM in order to start the upgrade.
You only have 1.3 GB left, which may seem a lot but it’s not, really, since the unit needs to process the files.
You are running 3.3.19052, with those 2 packages installed, one of them is GRACENOTES (album art for the media player).
This is what you need to do:
- Create a GRACENOTES removal USB with Syn3updater, it’s located in the utilities tab
- Once created, go to the car and let it run. This will remove the gracenotes package, thus freeing up some space
- Recreate the interrogator log and run it again against the unit, you should have more than 1.5 GB free this time
- If that’s the case, you would now be able to create a new upgrade USB. If you ask me since you already formatted the unit in the past (from 3.0 to 3.3), I would advise to force REFORMAT as installation method in syn3updater. This way, you will wipe the APIM clean and start fresh. It’s cleaner and faster.
For further details on dealing with low storage conditions, this thread may be useful → Tutorial: Sync 3.4 NON-NAV APIM: Failure to Update to Newer Version Sync 3.4
It’s for 3.4, but it’s the same case you are having, and also the steps mentioned above are described in the thread.
And please, do not post several posts one right after the other, there’s an edit option that’s quite handy.
Don’t worry, we will make it work.
