Problem with TCU replacement

Good afternoon. I kindly ask for your help in solving the problem with the TCU from Europe. I have a 2020 Ford Explorer. The car originally had a LB5T-14G229-AS unit. A European analogue LR3T-14G087-VJ was purchased in Poland. I replaced it. The serial number of the modem was displayed in the car. But after installing the fordpass program, authorization requests do not come to the car. We checked all the options that should be enabled through forscan. Following several pieces of advice, I switched the TCU to factory mode. But nothing helped. Forscan shows that the tcu_authstate unit is in no initialization mode. And country_identity is 0. I kindly ask you to help me. I don’t know what to do anymore and who to contact. I look forward to your response. With gratitude.

Hey there, where do you live in Poland? I can help

I live in Belarus.

Assuming you followed F150Chief’s activation guide, how close are you to the Russian border?
There have been a few threads where the issue was either the car being in Russia (where Ford is complying with the US sanctions) or close enough to the border that the TCU wouldn’t activate. In those cases the problem cleared when the car was driven either out of Russia or further away from the border.

I am about 200 kilometers from the Russian border. The car has never been to Russia. It came from the US to Lithuania and from there to Belarus.

Ok, have you updated the country code in the TCU?

Did you follow F150Chief’s activation process? Did you do a Master Reset on the APIM to force a TCU auth reset?

No. I didn’t. How do I do that? And what’s in the attached link?

Look for F150Chiefs thread on doing a TCU upgrade/mod pages 5-7 have how to authorize a used TCU to a new vehicle.
The link is to the ForScan settings for that model of TCU

I can’t find this section. Can you provide a link?

Hi , I have a problem with the module GN15-14G229-BH (ford 2018 US), which I would like to replace with something that works in the EU (Poland), with the FordPass app.
