Questions about my20 and replaced apim

I have a 2018 f250 with syn 3.0 i want to do the latest version of 3.4
My apim was replaced from ford today. What are the chances of having my20 even though my truck is an 18.

SYNC Region: NA

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: Unknown

Install Type: OEM Replacement

Old SYNC Version: 3.0

New SYNC Version: 3.4

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
No

Update Method: CyanLabs Syn3 Updater

Syn3 Updater Version: Dunno

Syn3 Updater Documentation Read: yes

Syn3 Updater Log File

None

Almost 100% sure that APIM is a 2020+ APIM. I would not reformat it. The only way to know for sure is to remove it and look but with Ford replacing it is pretty for sure it is 2020+

If it is a 2020 then what are my option to get the latest 3.4 ?

Why don’t you check that instead of “chancing” it?

If it’s running 3.0, you will need to jailbreak it and reformat it with FMODS’ tool instead of what Syn3updater uses.

So this is saying a 19 wich indicates no my20. Do i just go along with what the auto updater says and load files to the drive and insert?
Also whats with all the packages that are able to be selected at the bottom ? Do i select them all?

That’s a good sign, but I would double confirm it by either running the interrogator log or going into bezel diagnostics…

The reason I’m saying this is because the 370 PN is for the assembly, not the APIM itself… You are looking for the the 371 PN for confirmation.

Also is this enough free space to load everything to the latest 3.4?

Do not double post, use the edit button instead.

As far as we know, that should be safe to reformat. It’s not MY20 as per our hardware database, but there’s always a chance the screen is and there’s no way to know that I know about.

But being the assembly from 2019, it’s unlikely.to be MY20.
