Don’t unzip the file. To install the file, simply place it on a usb and insert into the vehicle just like a normal update. The file is about 62MB, so a small flash drive will work fine.
This installation will be run identically to an app file install. Follow the instructions below:
a. Create a USB drive (format as EXFAT) with a SyncMyRide folder.
b. Copy the file downloaded above into the SyncMyRide folder.
c. In the root of the USB is the autoinstall.lst and DONTINDX.MSA files which you can obtain from any upgrade you have previously performed.
d. You will need to edit the autoinstall.lst file so it looks like the example below.
Item1 = 1U5T-14G658-AF_1598633324000.TAR.GZ
Open1 = SyncMyRide\1U5T-14G658-AF_1598633324000.TAR.GZ
Options = Autoinstall
Insert USB in vehicle and wait for the installation to complete.
Yeah, alternatively download it using syn3updater
Does Sync3updater work with a Mac ?
Anyone have any ideas how I can do this process to add these logos using a Mac please.
Excuse my ignorance but what if F150 ?
Thanks again but still getting an error when I insert USB into car
(Previous updates have been fine with the same USB
The ‘autoinstall.Ist’ file do i change that to ‘Autoinstall.Ist’ or just ‘Autoinstall’ or ‘autoinstall’
Instructions clearly say autoinstall.lst
Hi F150chief, am i doing something wrong, keep getting error code ERR05 when i insert USB in car!
Is there any previous characters prior ERR05?
Post the contents of your autoinstall.lst file.
PS: I’ve just noted your autoinstall.lst file has a date 7 days back
Have you edited it as per the instructions?
Hi SaNdMaN thanks for your quick reply, please find attache d photo’s.
What do i edit in the autoinstall.Ist ?
Next photo to follow as i can only attach 1
Please, take your time and read the instructions that had been provided to you → Radio Logo's missing since update - #12 by CyanLabs
You must change the contents of the autoinstall file to match the package for the logos. The content you need to put into the file is provided above very clearly by @F150Chief:
autoinstall.lst (755 Bytes)
Just copy this to your usb. Delete the other one.
Cheers everybody, its sorted now!
I thought you meant change the title of the autoinstall file not what was in the file. Sorry for my trouble.
