Rest of maps files version F11

hi

i saw on the ford website the F12 version for my car. i have the first part of the installation. when i have the second part it doesn’t finish. i let the car run for more than 2h. i don’t have a log on the usb key. i used the “interrogator_AD” tool. i found that there are two F11 maps files.
1U5T-14G421-BJJ

Hi.

You don’t purge files, it’s not how it works. Those need to be replaced by the installation.

1/3 of the 2nd lst file was processed correctly, the other steps did not.

Try running this autoinstall.lst file:

Edit
Also, your APIM “3U5T-14G371-GDD” is not MY20 as per our hw db… If autoinstalling keeps failing, consider reformatting the unit with Syn3updater as long as the unit is OEM and has not been serviced (i.e. screen replacement).

precisely with the sync3updater software, I could have future official ford updates.

Is there a question in that statement?

Yes im sorry

And what is it?.

If I use the software, can I still do the official updates?

If you use the Cyanlabs Syn3 Updater you can no longer go back to update via your Ford profile as Ford do not support Cyanlabs. You are then under Cyanlabs’ ‘wing’. :slightly_smiling_face:

In saying that the Cyanlabs software updates and maps are safe and the same as what Ford uses through their updating system and are the ‘official’ updates.

The main advantage is that the Cyanlabs updates usually are available before Ford officially releases them and the updated maps are free.

Cyanlabs advises here when new software updates are available from time to time and updated maps usually show up here early each year.

Oh, isee.

Well, if your car is still getting official updates from Ford, technically yes, you can continue down that path. In fact, you could try going to the exact same “place” where Ford wants you to be with Syn3updater. Remember that the tool is just a “facilitator”, all packages are Ford’s.

But as you can see, the installation method that you could use via the tool (Reformat) is faster than autoinstalling those maps…
I understand you want to keep on Ford’s track, I was just giving an option should the autoinstall fail.

Also: the xml file produced at the end by Ford’s USB can also be created with Syn3updater… So you could update with Syn3updater to where Ford wants you to be and then create and upload a log as well to let Ford know your current state…

Thanks for all the information

I haven’t yet tested the script you sent me.

Hi, there,

I finally managed to update with the official update. I had to leave the usb key plugged in the car. It continued the update by itself.

thanks for your help
