Reverting Sync 3 3.0 to 2.2 to allow CP/AA

Hello,

Basically I jumped the gun and upgraded via Ford website from version 1.0 to 3.0 on my 2016 F150.

After reading around Ive now realized that 2.2 needs to be uploaded in order to allow for CP/AA.

I have bought the new part already and hope I can still manage to get CP.

I am not techy or knowledgeable when it comes to this but have seen links for the 2.2 version.

If anyone has a step by step guide for dummies how to revert from Sync 3 3.0 back to 2.2 so that CP/AA can be allowed that be much appreciated.

SYNC Region: NA

Old SYNC Version: 1.0

New SYNC Version: 3.0

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

Update Method: Official Ford

Hi.

But, have you tried if AA or/and CP works?.

This is the closest to that

CP/AA is not an option on the main sync screen. Even after the upgraded USB ports

It won’t appear by itself until you connect a compatible phone and it starts AA or CP.
So, if you haven’t connected a phone, do so.
If you have, follow the previous “guide”.

Yes even with an iphone plugged in CP is not an option on the main screen.

I will try my best to maneuver through that guide.

Just keep in mind that guide references the once latest 3.0 build 20204… since your opening message was vague and just said you upgraded to 3.0, make sure to go back to your current build once you are done… You should already have the file since you upgraded it…

Are you using a good quality iPhone USB cable?
Some of the cheaper ones do not have all the data pins wired, just the charge pins.
You can also have a cable where one of the data wires is broken.

What is the part number and source of the USB module?
