Screen went out after attempt to upgrade and change NAV map

Hello guys! Earlier this morning, I tried to update the maps only on my 2022 Ford Explorer XLT King Ranch, I set the initial settings on the Syn3 updater for the car configuration as:
3.4.22200, NA, Mexico,…, and Navigation = Yes
Then in the other window where the USB update flash is selected, I picked Middle East and North Africa in an attempt to add MENA maps, however after updating three times, the navigation map didn’t change and the map was still NA 21.

After this I decided to update the Sync as well (from 3.4.22200 to 3.4.23188), this time I changed both regions to MENA (car configuration and USB creation) because on the previous attempt I was given a prompt saying the USB might not work due to the difference in region while attempting to only update maps.

I plugged the USB into the car this time, and waited until it finished the first part of the update, then on the screen a message popped up telling me to recycle ignition so I restarted the car, while the screen itself went into restart, but from there it went completely black and hasn’t turned back on since, there’s no audio coming from the screen anymore, and even when checking for audio in the cluster menu it says “Audio is off” and for navigation the cluster menu freezes a bit then opens an empty list, the speakers are working fine I can hear the parking assist alarm and the turn signal sounds.

I checked with Forscan, the APIM module seems to be working and transmitting data as usual, the only fault code present was a loss of communication with the wireless charger, which is correct since it’s not working. Have I bricked my APIM or is there still a way to recover it since the module is working?

SYNC Region: NA

Navigation Variant: Nav

Manufacturer Year: MY20

Install Type: OEM

Old SYNC Version: 3.4.22200

New SYNC Version: 3.4.23188

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
Only the wireless charger.

Update Method: CyanLabs Syn3 Updater

Syn3 Updater Version: I just downloaded it from Cyanlabs this morning, so I’m assuming it’s the latest.

Syn3 Updater Documentation Read: yes

Syn3 Updater Log File

I will post it in the morning if necessary.

You loaded MENA maps onto a MY20+ APIM from the US containing US maps. When you did this, it did not erase the US maps, only added the MENA maps. It is likely that you have consumed all or most of the disk space and the unit cannot run properly. You also changed your country codes, so the maps won’t work now. The unit is still functional, apparently, but has a black screen. I would say go over to FMods and use the Universal Reformat Tool if you can get it installed and clean off the unit entirely. DO NOT use the reformat tool in the Syn3 Updater as it will brick the unit.

I will attempt this in the morning, and will let you know how it goes. Thank you so much for the reply!!

Hey! The universal reformat you’re suggesting, is it this one that says (SyncRenovation)?

Hello.

Please , provide the following, since it’s really important.

I want to see the log for the USB that ended up in the black screen.

Based on the lack of response from you, I guess you have already realized you ended up somehow creating downgrade USBs which killed the APIM since you can’t reformat MY20 hardware, but you did reformat it.
