Smaller voice file for PTB

Hi there!
I have an EcoSport, 2019, ANZ (South Am.), NON NAV.
Removed Gracenote and successfully upgraded from 3.0.18093 to 3.3.19052 (smaller NA voice file, no Gracenote).
Then upgraded to 3.4.19101, and then 3.4.21265.
Master Reset after each upgrade.
Now I’d like to install the PTB voice and, if possible, Gracenote.

Is there a way I could have a smaller voice file, just like you guys did with the “shrik” 5U5T-14G391-EM_1598637456000 one?
I’ve gone through the database searching for a smaller 5U5T-14G391-Bx, 5U5T-14G391-Dx or 5U5T-14G391-Fx, but the smallest one I found has over 1GB, gzip compressed.

I suspect the Nuance partition is too small (244GB), though. (please refer to the current as-built below).

Would it be the case for a downgrade/reformat back to 3.3, including a large ANZ voice file, so the partition increases?

If you install Sync 3.4 on an 8GB APIM, you will need to do one of 2 things:

Use the NA Sync voice file to use Gracenote.
or
Use the regional Sync voice file without Gracenote.

There is just not enough storage to have both the regional voice file and Gracenote in your situation.

In this case, how can I find a regional voice file for PTB?
All regional packages have many other languages and the gz file is over 1GB. Nuance partition has only 244MB available.
I keep getting MEM_ERR03 from all attempts (Bx , Dx ad Fx variations for 5U5T-14G391).

I have downgraded to 3.3, anyway, as I was having many Bluetooth issues and, also, CarPlay was getting disconnected.

THOSE are the regional files, since they are the ones that an APIM from a region should get. PTB is only present in 2 files, the smallest one is about 1GB.

As said before, you can have PTB without Gracenotes or Gracenotes but NA voice file, you can’t have both due to the APIM having only 8GB.

Thanks SaNdMaN, but even the 1GB file won’t make it.
I still get the MEM_ERR03. I do suspect the partition for the voice files (/fs/Nuance) is quite small (244MB, 940kB free), hence the question as to whether there would be a PTB shrunk version equivalent to 5U5T-14G391-EM for US English. Alternatively, if there is a way to resize the partitio to, say 1.5GB, I thing that would make it.

Re Gracenote, undesrstood; I will not install it.

The /fs/Nuance partition is showing the installed voice file. That is not the file partition size limit as the partition is based on the installed file.

The APIM has 2.6GB free space. You should be using a xxxx-14G391-Dx file. The latest is 5U5T-14G391-DS 1.0Gb Sync3 v3.2.22200.

Note: Keep in mind that your APIM was never intended to run Sync 3.4 and the storage is limited.

If you are getting a MEM_ERR03 error, then there is something wrong with your installation or the files will not fit.

Equals 1.850GB compressed file size, x1.6 equals 2.96GB.
You have 3.0GB of total space available, which in theory should fit, but likely will not work since there are other partitions needed for the operation of the APIM and Sync:
/fs/rwdata/ = 1015M / 1.2G
/fs/rwdata/quip/ = 35M / 35M
/fs/rwdata/quip/ = 90M / 90M

In this case, the files are just too large for the unit. But, there is an alternative if you can use the NA voice file.

5U5T-14G391-CP 400MB
Equals 1.250GB compressed file size, x1.6 equals 2.0GB.
This will easily fit, but will still not be able to add GN as that will push the storage limit.

Another option is to use the Sync 3.3.19052 version, which is about half the size of 3.4. With sync 3.3, you should be able to fit NA voice and GN.

This will work but it is all English, not PTB.

I thought partitions were not dynamically allocated.
My situation is I need the audio to be in PTB, and feels like I do not have any room to play, even without Gracenote and even on 3.3.19052.

My ideal setup files would be:
4U5T-14G381-AN 480MB
4U5T-14G391-DJ 1.02GB

This should worke with some tiny room to play.
Your comment on something might be wrong with the installation raised a yellow flag here.
I have used the downgrade feature from Syn3 Updater app to build the 3.3.19052 installation. After installation, I performed a Factory Reset.
Should I do it again or even something else to force wiping off unintentional leftovers?

Regarding the language voice pack:

I assume it can be installed alone
I assume they are digitally signed, therefore cannot be reassembled eliminating languages in it (e.g. remove Spanish and leave US-English + Brazilian Portuguese)
Correct?

Now, the greedy part of me tried to install Gracenote 4U5T-14G423-BA 762MB.
Given 762x1.6 is smaller than the 1.5GB free space, why did I get a MEM_ERR03 in this case?

Because you are not considering the required space for processing the file.
There was a reason as to why we said the things we said earlier.
It just do not fit.
