Some APIM Settings Going Back to Default

I revert to my posting above.
My Edge is still on 21256, still on the 2021 maps.
Run the interrogator again today, rwdata went down from 991M to 915M. I guess this is reasonable.

The Ecosport mentioned above is yet to be tested.

Hello. I’m back. I had my APIM replaced back in March 2023. I’m now having some of the same issues as before with the settings not saving. Reading through the forums, it looks like the rwdata partition could be full.

Forgive me, but where’s the tool that writes all the details to a text file? I’d like to see if that’s my issue.

I’m still on Build 22251_PRODUCT in my 2019 Ford F150.

interrogator log

I’m guessing the 4.0k in the /fs/rwdata/ directory is my issue.

Is the rwdata_cleaner only for JB versions of SYNC?

Since I had my APIM replaced in March of this year, does that mean my APIM could be bricked if I try to downgrade/reformat?

Yes, but there’s no “JB versions of SYNC”, but “jailbroken Sync”.

At this point only God knows since you managed to avoid sharing the most crucial piece of information from the interrogator log: the apim model.

I apologize. I’m not as well versed in this as others. I will run it again and look for what you’re asking for. Thank you for trying to help.

Ok, share it when you have it.
Thanks.

This is not MY20 based on our DB, so you should be fine.
This is an educated guess, since Syn3updater can’t check the screen.
You mentioned the unit was replaced / serviced, if a MY20 screen was installed you cannot reformat it.
From the APIM’s perspective, you are good to go, but of course proceed at your own risk.

Yesterday I went from Build 23088 to Build 23188. You can see in my post above that rwdata only had 160k free.

This morning I decided to run the Interrogator Log again and to my surprise rwdata has 686m free!

Because the clean up script actually works now, Ford fixed it in 23188

So therefore the solution as of now is to update to 23188, do whatever method is needed to free enough space before updating if required.

That’s the fix, therefore i’m closing this topic.

As of now, you can use the just released ford rwdata cleaner, now integrated in to syn3updater
