Sound playing off YouTube Music with Apple Carplay Issues

Sound cuts off and loses surround sound functionality and/or toggle.
Earlier tonight, audio cut-out briefly and reverted to stereo sound. I tried to go back into Sync, into audio, and re-selecting surround sound and it was checked, but it wouldn’t let me toggle to stereo back to surround. This has been progressively happening and is getting worse and more frequent.

You should perform a master reset of the APIM and delete the phone and then add it back in. Make sure you forget the Sync BT device on the phone and reboot the phone to clear the cache.
