This is a C1CMA vehicle, so there are specific settings for it. In the asbuilt database you will see these annotated as C1CMA. You will need to use these settings.
@F150Chief, would you expect the screen to boot as soon as the key is turned on, or would it not be uncommon to see a mismatch with the settings, so it won’t boot at all?
For reference, I do have the AS-BUILT file saved from a backup before I loaded the APIM with 3.0.
The interesting thing is, I am able to boot the Sync 3 on the bench using 4 wires and a CAN setup with ESP32. Power (pin 1), ground (pin 37), CAN high (pin 19) and CAN low (pin 20).
Once I send the simulated message via CAN, the unit boots like usual. So this makes me think there is an error on the HS3, but I am not able get it to display anything in the car.
Upon further research, i have found that the BCM that would send the CAN signal does not give the boot signal on the 2011 fiesta, i think a newer BCM is required. I might attempt to grab a newer one and program it for my fiesta to see if i can get it to boot…
