Can you adjust the HVAC with the controls on the manual controls?
What is the AB on your HVAC module?
@RD4154 Hey can you share your APIM and HVAC AB for us? He has a 2016 PIU with SYNC 3 and the settings should be the same for you.
The manual buttons are working I think but I don’t know what it’s actually doing because it’s not showing anything on the sync screen. I just posted the AB for the HVAC, or did you want my original PIU HVAC?

Is that the 3.5 non turbo? Or do you have the 3.7 or turbo 3.5?
Also please post your APIM AB that you are at right now. Raw numbers not the easy mode.

While this is not your problem you need to correct this. It’s B for yours if I remember right.
This one should be a zero.

Which modules do I find those in? Thanks. I just did a little more tweaking and fixing a couple things in the easy menu and I got rid of another code in the HVAC but still nothing working at all on the SYNC climate screen. Attaching photos of the things I fixed and the current errors. Is that rear climate control you just posted in the HVAC AB? That could probably clear some more codes
I got both of those changed and down to 3 DTC errors but it still says it’s not communicating with rear climate. Also climate still not working on sync screen.

Does a PIU have rear climate? or the controls? IF it has rear climate, is it only controlled via front controls?
Look back at the sprreadsheet for the HVAC, there is an option listed as rear climate adjusted from front.

My old bezel has rear climate buttons but I don’t know if they did anything, I never pressed them. And also whenever I disconnect from the vehicle and reconnect I get the heated seat errors and stuff popping up again.
You might not ever get rid of those unless you have the proper hardware. I changed out the FCIM on my 2015 F-150 with a 2019 Expedition version. F-150’s do not have rear climate, so I’ll have rear climate errors forever, but they are informative, so no MIL light on the dash. Does not affect anything.
But, if you have the hardware already in place and working then it my just be a matter of coding…
Look on the bright side: Your APIM and everything else looks fine, so now it’s down to getting things coded properly and working the way you expect. Other than hardware that’s not there…

Yeah man we’re getting close! I don’t mind having some DTC’s as long as it doesn’t affect anything. I don’t need the rear climate control even if I have the hardware, I never have passengers. That’s why I don’t care about dual zone either. At this point I wouldn’t even mind manual climate controls haha but I definitely want to get the new auto HVAC module working. Everything else seems ok… The backup camera is working and even the button for hazards on the new bezel works. It’s just the damn HVAC giving me problems

I’m going with the theory that I have rear climate control so I changed a few things in the APIM. Still not working though. There’s a setting in the easy menu that I’m not sure what to choose. And for some reason the “dual” climate button is stuck on on the sync screen but touching the buttons doesn’t do anything. Adding photos of that and both modules in their current form.
If the DUAL button is stuck then it’s actually SINGLE. Do you have a temp adjustment for the passenger? On the original FCIM?

Yeah, that’s a single zone.
Now that that’s fixed, what’s the next mod? See, not that difficult, just have to be patient and work thru the issues.
I let the Chinese people take over my laptop 
They had everything working in less than 10 minutes. I watched them basically write the entire APIM and they did something in the ACM, they also switched something in the settings to RTS relay I think. They worked super fast. But I think that’s my last upgrade haha, I’m not advanced enough for all this. I super appreciate all the time and help you gave me
