I don’t remember if you have the Type 2 display but if you do, you can get some nav info in the right screen.
Is this the type 2 display? Maybe I need to get rid of the auxiliary button menu on the right side somehow
That is the Type 1 display. There are no nav options for that IPC.
You can upgrade to the Type 2 or 3 IPC from a 2016-2019 if you choose to. The one thing you need to be aware of is the milage on the IPC that you get.
That’s what I was thinking with the asbuilt. It looks fine, makes sense.
That’s alright, I didn’t even know it was a thing until you mentioned it. Good looking out though I appreciate it
I just realized that my doors don’t lock when I start driving, they just stay unlocked the whole time. Does anyone know what setting turns that back on in FORScan? I found 2 child lock settings in the BCM, one called “child lock” and the other “child lock mode” but I think those are for the rear doors. Both settings can only be enabled or disabled. Any ideas @F150Chief or @bill32399?
Sorry I had replied to this, but it looks like it was one of the responses lost.
In my case the only option at the time was to replace the BCM and that solved the issue. After looking into it more I found the BCM’s were identical hardware wise but the calibrations were not. So up to you which route you want to pursue but it seems all you have to do is install the civilian calibration and it will work fine.
Thanks for the reply. Do you know where I can find information about calibration? I don’t want to brick my BCM trying to figure it out, I’m sure you understand. I wasn’t able to find anything using a quick google search
Yea the BCM is kinda important. LOL. I would take a pic of what calibrations you have and then see if someone on here who has a 2018 Explorer can show you what they have and start from there.
Swapping modules made it so I had to redo my keys and what not. I did add PATS though since all the hardware was there. It just needed the wiring.
Where can I find the calibrations? Do I need the IDS software for that?
You just need the 2.4 versions of Forscan and a paid subscription.
