SYNC 2 to SYNC 3.4 - Navigation stopped working

Updated my moms 2017 Ford Escape, now it lost her onboard navigation. I believe I uploaded the correct log, pulled it from the USB using Syn3. If it’s wrong, do I need to create an interrogator log USB?

She lost navigation because you told the updater she did not have Nav.

I’ll try again, but I have Navigation to Yes. At first it said Non NAV APIM under Map Version, but now it’s showing 2.23.

Don’t know why the Map Version is allowing me to pick a map version now, maybe because I had to update to 3.4 then select it?

Going to reinstall and report back.

You really should had read the instructions before going at it… that’s how you break things and leave the car without maps, or have those kind of errors… :roll_eyes:

Luckily for you, you haven’t bricked your APIM (yet)…
Configure Syn3updater accordingly, you are not on 2.2.16208 anymore…

You are correct. Forgot to edit the settings.

After that, since I’m on 3.4.23188, do I select that version and update only maps?

Reason I ask is because if I select only maps, it gives me version 2.20, if I selected version 3.4.23188, it gives me map version 2.23.

That’s expected. You can’t autoinstall ESN locked maps, so by selecting “only maps” Syn3updater will only give you the options for an autoinstall operation for “maps only”… Select the latest and redo everything through a reformat since you have already reformatted the unit…
