i will make an sync update for an friend. Have iam reading right ? My English is not so good. I Have use the instasllation Mode reformat to do this update.
Is this the right way ?

Provided the vehicle is pre 2020 all looks good to me to upload to the car.

Hello.

To install 3.4 from 3.0 you need to reformat the unit, yes.

Question though:

Why are you overriding the installation mode?..
Are you super sure your friend does not have a MY20 unit???.
That’s how you break things…

Assuming is how you break things , and you are assuming the unit has not been replaced by Ford…

If you want to risk it then go ahead, otherwise read and follow the Basic Usage - CyanLabs guide to make sure it’s safe to reformat.

Ok when i ask him the apim whas replaced last years than i make nothing. But when He says its original unit it must be ok. I think right?
