Still finding my way around this site - I eventually found my way to the correct database (the link took me to the as-built database which threw me for a bit). Rather than attempting a F11 to F13 maps-only update on Sync 3.0.23219 I’m trying to follow the instructions in the tutorial mentioned above for a F12 update on Sync 3.0
Where it states
NOTE: The installation of EU2.22 (F12) maps and nav voice files is similar. Replace the F11 versions of the map files in the instructions with F12 maps.
I’m having difficulty finding the F12 map files. The filenames/versions make little sense to me.
For example the F11 map in the tutorial is
But JR3T-14G421-BH in the SYNC 3 APIM Software (IVSU) Database - CyanLabs is for NA region (which I assume is North America)
I have browsed all of the JR3T… files and none look as though they are for EU2.21 let alone EU2.22
The Nav upgrade in the tutorial also refers to GB5T and HB5T files, do these also need to be changed to the F12 version?
What is a reliable way for me to identify the files for the F12 maps/map voice/license?
Looking ahead, If I can understand how the F12 update works I should be able to apply this to F13 maps update? There are numerous files for F13 maps at F13 EU Maps Released starting with U5T filenames, presumably these need to be packaged up into a JR3T… file?
I’m wondering if that tutorial is out of date and no longer reflects what’s in the database.
