It is worth mentioning that the maps work only that this error appears sometimes
You did a retrofit, so AB settings or Antenna are likely your problem. The later Sync versions do not get along with some of the aftermarket antennas and the best fix it to install an OEM setup or find a better antenna.
Thatās what I thought and I bought another original antenna and the problem continues but itās only sometimes when I start the car.
I have put fordscan and I get this code APIM B119F:13-0B
I have NA2.22 maps downloaded from the Ford site. Can I use the license file from that and use with the NA2.23 maps?
No
Thats GPS Antenna open circuit.
OK. IN 5 years never had an issue with installing any of the files. Today went and tried to update to NA 23 only to have it stop with an error message - Red screen
Error in 4U5T-14G22-CCN_1709611788000.TAR.GZ : PKG_ERRO3 Any idea what caused this and how to fix. Also Display screen is stuck on Ford Images changing and telling me to Insert USB to update and canāt turn it off
Probably a corrupt file or bad USB, try again.
Continuing the discussion from SYNC 3 - 2.23 NA Maps Added To Syn3Updater:
Iām downloading once again, will take a drive and try again. Hope to get better results this time. Will update and let you all know. Thank you
OK Fixed- was a corrupt file. Thanks all good and working again
What USB device were you using?
THANK YOU! Total upgrade was a success. Start to finish 22 minutes. 23 maps installed. All working flawlessly. Not one APIM FORSCAN mod lost!
I used a 64gb PNY USB thumb drive, connected to my 2019 Expedition USB hub. Total time start to finish about 22 minutes.
He wasnāt asking you but good to know!
It appeared he wasnāt asking anyone specifically. Want me to delete it?
It was a lexar 64G USB 3.0 same one use for last few years⦠but worked on the re-download.
You can get a corrupt file if you donāt do a USB eject in Windows when the updater utility is finished & closed or a full system reboot.
Write to the device can still be inflight or the logic in the USB device may be reallocating blocks of the flash if it sees them as bad.
Nobody was asking me either, but I thought Iād push my SanDisk Ultra Flair drive. Iāve been using it for Sync updates over 2 years now and no problems. Canāt beat $8, especially with a name like āUltra Flairā in case anyone is having trouble with theirs.
Most SanDisk USB 3.0 drives will work fine some have a really bad write speed though meaning it takes a long time to make the USB initially.
