Yep, reformat was about 10 minutes. Then reboot and finish up another 20-30.
I leave my driver window open (and door shut) and cycle ignition at the 20 min mark to reset the 30 min power off timer. (push button) Sync stays on since the door is shut. Also run my battery charger since my engine is off. Just make sure you have a decent speed USB drive or it may take longer.
That what I was thinking, have done this process many times and all was good for those. Will go with what the tool says. Mine is exactly as the included capture indicates except I am NA Region at the top.
That’s because you have to reformat to get the 2.23 maps. If you are choosing to “Only update maps” because you have a 2020+ APIM or another reason you will only see 1.19 & 2.20
You should be concerned. If you reformat a 2020+ APIM you will brick it. I would not recommend doing the reformat. Check and see if Ford offers you an update for starters and if not you may want to consider buying it from them.
I just installed it on a 2015 ford fusion titanium but I have an error that sometimes appears saying that the navigation does not work properly and to take it to the ford dealer
