Good afternoon and many thanks to the team…for all the dedication and effort on behalf of the community. I updated…it went very well, successfully. I can’t see the differences. If anyone could please help, I would be grateful. Thank you very much. From Portugal.
I’ve done both the manual and automatic method. I’ve formatted the USB correctly. I did find in the file names in the manual method were not capitalized in the file but were in the auto install file (1u5t-14g386-cb.tar) was the file. That was fixed. I did the automatic method and no issues there but now the USB isn’t recognized in the car. Neither USB port. Am I being impatient or is it not working? I go to sources and look for USB and nothing. I plugged in a small 8gb usb with music and it works. Curious what could be the problem? Thoughts?
L series APIM with the “old” eMC. Sirius logos were completely “gone’”, even a master reset didn’t fix it. What did clean it up was doing a module reset, this triggered a “Sirius Subscription Updated” message and the logos came back.
the front park assist sensors have gotten a bit out of whack, eg sitting at a 3 way intersection that I always drive, no cars passing in front I’ll get a left flank warning, then a right flank warning followed by a right nose warning. I’ll dig more into that this weekend.
Update from 3.4.22200 went well with Syn3Updater, but maps are not loading and GPS signal is now always off on the Sync Nav. When I upgraded from Sync 1 to Sync 3 I installed a GPS antenna that has always given open circuit DTC but always worked. Sometimes it did show GPS OFF on the screen and sometimes it loses position for a while (both in Nav and CarPlay), coming back a bit later. It never bothered me.
But today GPS is always off on Sync Nav and map won’t load. I tried typing an address and it does locate cities and shows the map for the search, but won’t locate specific addresses.
On CarPlay it still works. At least it was showing my position correctly, gonna drive around a bit now to check full work.
I did a master reset, still the same.
I’ll try creating a new USB drive and reinstall it. Any other ideas?

Follow up on issue loading maps in Sync Nav, after several minutes rolling with the car, before any attempt of reinstall, it started loading the maps and accepted searching specific addresses. No idea what happened.
I’ve been using a third-party camera with Sync 3.4.20xxx for years, back when it was still properly supported. With every update since then, the camera screen has remained blank.
I’ve now installed the latest version, and suddenly I see a black-and-white image that looks like it’s from an old security camera. That’s progress, at least. But after about 10 seconds, the image cuts out and a message appears saying, “The camera was not recognized.”
My question: Has anyone here retrofitted a camera (preferably for a Ford S-Max) and had it work? Maybe switching to a different camera model will do the trick, or I’ll have to roll back to the previous version.
Ford Sync 3 build 3.4.26057 is a maintenance update rather than a major feature release. While Ford does not provide a public line-by-line changelog, community and developer tracking indicates that this build primarily focuses on SiriusXM logo and subscription fixes, under-the-hood bug squashing, and stability improvements.
I just upgraded sync 2 to 3. updated to latest version and updated maps no problem. However, i have one issue and its the volume knob. I get a rectangle bar that adjusts the volume but that overlays a round volume dial… any clue as to how to fix or get rid of that?
