Sync 3.4 Hub Compatability

Hello everyone, I bought the upgrade kit from eBay from china and recently I think my Sync 3 hub went bad, so I am curious if I can upgrade the dual usb with carplay to the newer hub that does type c? Or would I need to get hub that only does usb type? The LED light turns on but unable to regonize the usb, the front port works and not the arm reset.

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
If I remember it gave me the usb unable to connect

Interior console port is on a cable, sounds more like it went bad since the front works.
I’ve had hit or miss luck using the USB C ports (even true Ford) on older models or APIM, I know people will say you just need to be on 3.4 but I’ve had them not work on a J series with 3.4 but work on an L series.
